Microsoft has announced earlier that it is bringing Skype for Business to the two major smart phone platforms and now it has announced that a preview of this app will be launching on both iOS and Android devices.
Dashboard was combined the contact search bar, upcoming meetings and most recent conversations in this new app to make it useful for the business class people.
Users will have new In-Call and In-Meeting experience in this app and not only was this, the navigation of contacts, calls and meetings also made easy.
Skype for Business features include:
- Contact search bar—Search your Global Address List by first name, last name, email alias or even a phone number! On iOS, your phone contacts are also included in the search.
- Upcoming appointments—Here you can see your current and next meetings in your calendar. You can either click through to read more about the meeting or click the Quick Join icon to join the meeting right away.
- Recent conversations—Makes it easy to refer back to your most recent chats, phone calls and meetings.
If you have Lync 2013 on your iOS or Android device, you will get the Skype for Business app as an update. Skype for Business mobile apps work for anyone on Skype for Business Server 2015, Skype for Business Online and Lync Server 2013.
