But as a relief for Jayalalithaa, She was on Friday granted bail by the Supreme Court. Jayalalithaa’s party workers had been waiting eagerly as the Supreme court took up the bail plea from the Karnataka High court.
Jayalalitha assured the Supreme Court that she won’t take any adjournment in the Karnataka High Court and would file paperbook of her appeal within two months.“We will not give you a day more if you fail to file paperbook within 2 months,” said the Supreme Court. Jayalalitha volunteered before the top court to be kept in confinement in house for 2-3 months while pressing for bail. The court further asked Jayalalitha to direct her party workers not to create law and order problem in the state.
