Google has rolled out its Android Marshmallow very recently and at the time of introducing it, the company has announced that the Nexus devices will receive this update first and later on mobile phones of other companies and carriers will receive it.
So, millions of people are waiting to receive this update. Keeping this in view companies like HTC, Sony, Motorola, Samsung and T-Mobile have announced which of their devices will receive this update. Now it is Asus and OnePlus who announced some details about the Marshmallow updates for their handsets.
The following Asus devices will receive this update:
- Padfone S (PF500KL).
- ZenFone 2(ZE550Ml/ZE551ML).
- ZenFone 2 Deluxe/Special Edition (ZE551ML).
- ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE500KG/ZE500KL/ZE550KL/ZE600KL/ZE601KL).
- ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL).
Asus has not given when this update will be rolled to the devices. We will update you when more details are available.
On the other hand, OnePlus has also announced some news regarding the updates of their devices. It has not promised the exact release dates but shared some news of interest.
In the first quarter of 2016, the Cyanogen OS of OnePlus One will be updated to the Marshmallow. The community build of Oxygen OS for the OnePlus will be updated at a later time.
The OnePlus 2 will also be updated in Q1 which will get the new standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor. Although the company is receiving requests to create an API for the current fingerprint in Oxygen OS but the company is not going for it because it is soon going to opt the standard Android M.
The company says that it is working hard to bring Marshmallow as soon as possible to the OnePlus X. It has said that in the mean time it will roll the updates for the Oxygen OS. We will make you know when more details are revealed.
